"The cruelest words" by Jorma Panula

This is definitely techno! And it's hard. You sure need strong nerves and strong eardrums. The cruelty of "The cruelest words" is not in the music or in the occasional lyrics, it's in the volume.
In this case I'ld use the Jackass advice "Do not try this at home" because this is strictly meant for dance events.
So just go crazy with Jorma Panula but do protect your ears.

"We were never going to die" by Blotched Fantail Ray

I have to admit that Blotched Fantail Ray is not really my cup of tea but their debut album "We were never going to die" sure does sound very solid. I was even a bit overwhelmed...
The feel is very heavy. Think of Saxon, Iron Maiden, even Motorhead... Very British indeed.
But influences of American hard rock heroes like Alice Cooper, Kiss and Aerosmith are present too. This album brings back memories but is not to be taken too serious. It's fun. Sure it is. But that's about all.

"As a nail" by The Denham Tracts

The Eighties are back. And in case you haven't noticed, there's The Denham Tracts. They sound like the Human League, A flock of Seagulls, Blancmange... you name them.
But: they sound good! Sure it sounds like a copy from years ago, sure it smells like easy money, sure it's just a revival band. But they have a teriffic powerfull sound, a great attitude, great looks... But what they also have is talent. Something that's not always obvious for a regular pop band nowadays.
Give them a spin...
