"Between a madman and me" by David Clark

He tried his luck in several Americana and folk bands but none of them really broke through. Now he has released his first album under his own name David Clark. And one can immediatly hear that Clark is a man of routine. It's not really a dazzling and vibrant record. I'ld rather discribe it as small, tender and modest. And although this solo debut is fragile and charming, the whole feel is never far away from being dull. So the total lenght of 53 minutes is maybe a bit much. If Clark would've skipped four or five weaker songs this would've been a real nice album from a singer with a clear voice, a vision and direction in life.
