"Left is a compromise" by Furrer

Elisabeth Furrer is one of those new British talents that seem to pop up in the slipstream of Kate Nash and Lily Allen. Last year's big names where La Roux and Little Boots, this year there's Ellie Goulding, but the next big name is surely Furrer. Her first album is loaded with happy poppy songs. Her voice is not really spectacular but she writes wonderfull positive songs with a twist. She uses humor, irony and her charming appearance at the same to win the hearts of her audience.
And it seems to work.

"Right in front of us" by Sazomin

The French rock band Sazomin released their first album. And I don't know exactly what went wrong, but I heard this all before... "Right in front of us" sounds like R.E.M., Oasis, U2, Green Day, but a lot weaker.
Their debut single "Rock away" kept a promise but I guess this album came too soon somehow...

"Small Enough To Win" by Simon Thomas

Simon Thomas has been performing for years  but he never took the time to record an album.
And his huge experience pays of after all. His debut cd "Small Enough To Win" is a real gem. Thomas brings a marvellous blend of jazz, soul and hip hop. His warm voice and strong charisma garantee one of the best albums of the last couple of years. Critics have compared him with Marvin Gaye, Barry White, Seal and D'Angelo.
However, this is a truly classic album. Listen to his new up tempo single "Angel" and the soul ballad "Where were you'.
Highly recommended!

"Better to change the locks" by Uss Gemimi

Uss Gemini is a five piece girls band and -"really, really" their biographie states- they play their own instruments. They sing themselves and made their own clothes and dance moves...

Yeah. Right. But then again, who gives a f**k. It sounds good, they look nice and I can't get their songs out of my head.
Their success will last as long as it lasts, and then there will be another interchangeable girl group.
That's the way it goes.

So as long as they're around I'll enjoy their singles "Get it, get it" and "One foot before the other".
