"You would never do anything" by Barbara Jelic

Barbara Jelic is a child from a famous musical family. Her father is the wellknown Polish conductor Vladisav Jelic, and her mother the Welsh Tania Burroughs has been recording vocal albums for some years now.
So it's not really a surprise to anyone that Barbara would turn up with an album too. And it's a good one as well. It is to be situated somewhere between Kati Melua and Sarah Brightman, although her voice still sounds a bit young and insecure. But what can one expect from a seventeen years old girl?

"Nobody wants to read" by Douglas Marsden-Jones

Douglas Marsden-Jones is one of those new singer/songwriters but he has something special about him. His voice has got soul, his songs have a certain joie-de-vivre and his music sounds positive. So no broken hearts, desolate landscapes, distant highways or political issues on his debut album "Nobody wants to read". Therefor he talks about himself and his will to achieve something. (Listen to "Labelled scooter" and "Automatically".
And most important: he's not naive and not too romantic. His fanbase will not entirely consist of young girls (and their mothers)...
If that doesn't deserve succes, what does?

"Nothing's wrong with being alone" by The Kuleshov Effect

The Kuleshov Effect is a funny band. They combine the hilarious Madness act with the power of Rammstein. The result is a stunning mix of powerfull and raw music with a refreshing feeling for irony and ...er, madness.
This debut album is a party cd from the opening song till the last track. And that s 24 (!) songs in a row.
Play this album hard, over and over again. It'll brighten your day.
